Using non-network doctors and facilities
If your benefit plan covers non-network care, you can get care outside the UnitedHealthcare network without a referral. Just keep in mind that your out-of-pocket costs may be higher.
Your benefit plan pays only part of non-network charges. You pay the rest. The amount you have to pay could be significant and may not apply to your deductible or your out-of-pocket maximum. It's important that you review and understand your financial responsibility if you choose to go outside the network

Just look for the stars next to your search results. We have evaluated doctors in 21 specialties, as well as cardiac care, congenital heart disease, spine surgery, total joint, infertility, and neonatology facilities.
